Due to the recent rains, the water levels in the lakes are high. There is currently a “NO WAKE ZONE” for Third Lake. This is indicated by a red flag at the Village Boat launch, the dam and the Mariner’s Cove boat launch.
The Village Hall will be closed on January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The Village President, staff and trustees wish all residents a very happy holiday season and best wishes for a healthy and prosperous New Year! The Village Hall will be closed from December 24th through January 1st.

The Village has made the Village Hall more accessible to people with disabilities. We have installed an opener for people with walkers, wheelchairs, or anyone needing additional time.
Need to pay for a permit or boat sticker? Did you get a parking ticket (I hope not)? The Village now takes credit cards. There is a very small convenience fee. You can even pay over the phone in the event that you cannot come to the Village Hall during office hours.
We have had residents express concerns about hearing gunfire.Waterfowl hunting is allowed in unincorporated areas. Illinois Department of Natural Resources regulates size and power of the shotguns and requires hunters to be at least 100 yards away from an inhabited dwelling.
